an ending: Leaving the moon, photographed by Apollo 15, 4th August 1971.
The pair of large craters at bottom right are Hilbert (above, in shadow) and Pasteur (below) which lead me to conclude that this photo is looking up at the Moon’s southern hemisphere, with most of the Nearside in darkness.
