neckline: Saturn’s D ring, photographed by Cassini, 5th March 2007.
The D ring, discovered by Pierre Guerin in 1969, is the innermost of Saturn’s rings. This seems to be a preternaturally bright and crisp image of the ring, which is usually described as being dark and faint.
